I love it when trainers get it.
I have worked with trainers for over 25 years since opening my first gym.
Trainers are unique bunch. Most exhibit the caring personality traits like
those in the teaching and nursing professions. Many are highly educated.
So when they encounter something new in the fitness industry, they
usually approach with both optimism and a healthy dose of skepticism.
Who can blame trainers for a little skepticism? When our industry has
seen every incarnation of ab system/machine gimmicks, outrageous
claims and fad diets, caution should always be the first thing exercised
when checking out something new. Both FitWall® and Vertical Training™
are new. Burning through the sugars and getting into fat burning range in
5 minutes is new.
But when trainers get on the FitWall, all skepticism is gone.
Just a few minutes of the 14 Fundamental Exercises and watch their
faces. I'm certain that it's the exact same smile as when they rode their
bike for the first time, climbed the rope in gym class to the top or swam
the length of the pool for the first time. A really BIG smile. The trainers
are having the time of their lives. They totally get it! Trainers experience
what FitWall® can do for them and their clients and they are psyched to
see what's next. They listen to founder Doug Brendle attentively, but are
thinking: "When can we get back on the FitWall®?"
Then it's time to Launch™. No, not lunch, Launch™.
The trainer gets on the FitStep™, squats deep on one leg and launches
skyward while holding onto the FitBar™ at about chest height. That's the
Launch™. Talk about fun. And if clients don't have fun, they won't
succeed in their long-term goals. FitWall® is definitely fun. There's that
smile again.
When trainers spend a week or two on the FitWall®, they say things like,
blew my mind…best workout in a short period of time…so many
variations…tremendous fun factor…from skeptic to enthusiast…train
clients in half the time. Watch and see for yourself.
